Department of Psychotherapy and Counseling is the crown jewel of Manobikshan. Starting from 2013 itself, this was the FIRST ever Clinical Psychology Department in the Whole North Bengal, which was run by Clinical Psychologists with MPhil in Clinical Psychology as recommended by the Rehabilitation Council of India. Before Manobikshan, there was absolutely no concept of Clinical Psychology in North Bengal.

Some quacks with dubious /insufficient qualifications used to mislead clients here and there in the name of counseling, which was not only ineffective but was sometimes, outright detrimental to the mental health of their unfortunate clients. Being the pioneer of this discipline in Murshidabad, Nadia, Birbhum and other districts of North Bengal , over time Manobikshan has been almost synonymous with Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy. Today we feel proud of even getting referrals from places like NIMHANS and Manipal .
